The Porsche 911 Carrera RSR - 24H of Daytona - 1973 Poster of the manufacturer Automobilist
The 1973 Daytona 24-hour race in 1973 was a historic moment for the Zuffenhausen-based brand, as victory was the first major international title for a 911-based car.
It was a race of attrition, and the favoured bigger and faster cars gradually dropped out or had performance problems. The reliable 911, however, just kept going and, when the sun came up, led the race.
Variations of this classic racing car would dominate sports car racing for a long time to come. And Porsche won the Daytona classic no less than 18 times.
The print was created using Automobilist's characteristic technique of digital 3D modelling to produce a computer-generated image of impressive quality.
