The Formula 1 Decades - 50s Maserati Poster from the manufacturer Automobilist
Torpedo-shaped, with a deep, wide-mouthed radiator grille and finely tapered, inverted winglets sprouting with almost organic purity on both sides of a fiery red body, the Maserati 250F is the figurehead of the dawning Formula One era and crowned its superiority with Juan Manuel Fangio's 1957 World Championship title.
It was the racing car that perhaps best embodied the desire of the 1950s to leave behind the grey rigour of rationing and brutal rebuilding plans and embark on a more glamorous, technology-oriented future.
The print was created using Automobilist's signature technique of digital 3D modelling to produce a computer-generated image of impressive quality.
