The Hungarian Grand Prix took place on 31 July 2022 at the Hungaroring and covered a distance of 70 laps of 4.381 km each, which corresponds to a total distance of 306.63 km.
Lewis Hamilton of the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team started the race from 7th position in his Mercedes-AMG F1 W13 E Performance racing car. In the 13th race of the season, Hamilton showed a strong performance and was able to improve to 2nd place in the end.
