Leopold Prinz von Bayern drove for BMW in the German Touring Car Championship between 1986 and 1992. In the 1992 DTM season for he drove the MBW M3 (E30) for BMW Team Isert. He is regarded as one of the best-known German touring car drivers and scored over 120 victories in his long career.
